Thank you for this great study to help heal from the emotional wounds from an abortion decision. It is presented with such compassion and helps women to understand what happened to them. The book is republished with a peaceful cover and the pages are a light color and a readable sized font. It has plenty of room to write and journal.

This revised version is pleasing to the eye and flows nicely!

This is a beautiful update to the original bible study with the same powerful message as the original. The difference to me is the update is easier to use, and read with lots of writing space. Any women who is post abortive I would highly recommend to take this study that can set a captive free from the guilt, and shame that abortion brings. You will find that as you take this study that there's forgiveness through Jesus Christ to be forgiven and set free. As a volunteer at a pregnancy resource center where we offer STS, I will be giving them this updated version to use on new clients. God bless you Pat for your loving and giving heart. Praying for many women to have access to this wonderful, biblical study.

I have used this study for 6 years to walk beside women broken from their past choice. Each time a small group completes this book, each woman has experienced some form of restoration. Peace and freedom are found. Emotional numbness melts away. Shame no longer cripples the spirit. Women with depression and anxiety often pinpoint the source of that pain. I highly recommend this tool for any church or counselor.

This is a beautiful update to the original bible study! Pat Layton has such a gift for speaking to women's hearts and she has used her gift well in this beautiful bible study. Thousands of women who have previously gone through this study have found freedom and healing in Jesus Christ! The update is easier to use, with lots of writing space and a cleaner format. Pat Layton has done an amazing job of writing this study for women who have been hurt by abortion. The study takes women through the 8 steps of grieving many times for the first time!

I'm sure this is a good resource for some nursing research classes, but as a required text for my nursing research class, it did not provide the information I needed to complete assignments. This is more a school issue rather than a book issue. There are other nursing research books out there that explain things in a manner which is easier for the novice nurse researcher to interpret. Because I needed to find other sources which explained things in a manner that was easier to interpret I'm giving the book three stars. It has lots of information, but if you are new to nursing research it doesn't use language which is effective at helping the learner grasp concepts easily.

Nowhere did the description disclose that this was the international edition. The picture sure didn't. Even states on the cover Not authorized for sale in US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, or Virginia Islands. I hope it is close enough to the version I assumed I was ordering to compete my class.

- The book I received is not the book pictured- it's actually the South Asian Edition, for the specific countries listed on the book's cover, & states "circulation outside this territory is strictly prohibited"

The content of book itself is great. however I would recommend buying it in vitalsource bookshelf format as I had to go back and do. It is a far better user format for a book of this size and scope. I had bought kindle books before (for macbook and iPhone) but was rather limited in my experience with them. In this book, there is no search function ("X-ray"as I just found out it was called) or page numbers to reference when they are listed in class. This really hurts the functionality of a textbook of this size. I realized this totally limits the use of a kindle in this fashion. It actually makes the book purchased quite useless. I called to to ask for a refund based on these issues, but because it was greater than 7 days, I could not obtain one. The employee said "it is assumed the entire book can be read in 7 days" so they would not issue one. I reminded her that this was a 600 page printed college textbook designed to be read over a 4 month semester and that my class started after I bought the book. Despite this, she still insisted it is assumed I read it in 7 days. Very pleasant customer service rep but the logic regarding the product they were selling and it's use lacked some common sense. sorry, last kindle textbook for me.

The content of this book was wonderful, the quality of the book, not so much. It literally fell apart. I wanted to keep this book as a reference but I will probably just throw it away. Could never resell it! I think they should replace it!

When the book arrived it is an International Edition, not authorized to be sold in the United States. I am extremely displeased. I could have bought a brand new book without this issue for $20 more. Very sad that there was no disclaimer about this product !

Got this book as a rental. It was brand new! I was very impressed by this. I barely cracked the pages for my course, so the next person getting this book it will be practically new as well.

This item is a South Asian edition which is not stated on Amazon. This item clearly states on the cover that it is illegal to circulate outside of Southeast Asia Territory. I live in the USA and last I knew Amazon was based out of the USA as well.

Watching the new Project Blue Book series on History Channel, I wanted to do some more reading on the subject. This book started out interesting with some good info on the Blue Book origins and Hynek, but then evolved into nothing more than reprints of dozens of government documents and reports, many of them repetitious accounts of the same incident from multiple eyewitnesses who mostly say the same thing over and over again in different words. There is no insight or analysis offered on any of the incidents, nor comments or stories on the attempts at cover-ups or ludicrous government "explanations." I assume it's presented this way so the reader can draw their own conclusions, but it makes for VERY dry reading with no storytelling aspect whatsoever. I'm a fan of UFO reading material, and I rarely stop reading a book part-way through, but I could not get through this entire book. It just bored me to death. Not recommended unless you just want to read a lot of early government UFO reports and dry eyewitness testimony. It could have been so much more.

I found the book to have several chapters of interest but the rest is just document after document.

Great classic book. However, there are errors in the Foreward. More care should have been taken in checking grammar and spelling.

I really enjoyed all the information contained in this book about some UFO sightings, and the reports verbatim about their investigations. I recommend this book to all who like to read about UFOs.

Find it very interesting to read!

I bought this book a month ago and had to buy another copy to give to my parents. It's fantastic and really speaks to what pets need to be happy and stress-free. As a veterinarian myself, knowing pets are fearful of little things hurts my heart. They don't deserve to fear the world around them. This book will open your eyes to see what they see and feel what they feel. It provides easy and straightforward smart changes to help pets feel safe and secure in your home and in society. Love it!! Makes a great gift for anyone and everyone who loves animals.

This book has a lot to offer and Dr. Becker is well-respected. It also has 3 other contributors, all well-qualified. I was really looking forward to reading this book and I found it disappointing for two reasons:1. The first third or so is very repetitive as if it were written by 4 different people who didn’t consult with one another and so had no clue what came before.2. There isn’t much usable advice about how to deal with your dog’s fears.

I recently adopted a 5 year-old fearful dog. Although I've had dogs all my life I've never had a fearful one before. The authors of this book have developed a program to help owners, veterinarian staff and shelter employees utilize techniques designed to ease a dog's fears. The program would be most successful if everyone in the dog's life used it. (Note that it's a service marked (SM) program, so veterinarians have to actually take a course and become certified before they can use the Fear Free designation.) The book is useful and it would be wonderful if more dog professionals would take advantage of the program. But for a comprehensive book on fear based behaviors, with a wealth of information and suggestions for the owner of a fearful dog, I highly recommend "Beyond Flight or Fight" by Sunny Webber.

We adopted a dog that was quite fearful. She went through some unpleasant situations in her prior home, suddenly found herself in a whole different environment due to a divorce, and no doubt had some genetic disposition to anxiety. We quickly learned that she was fearful and anxious, leading to a number of behaviors that were not good., for her or us. We have gone to the vet for medications and to trainers where we learned new training techniques. This book puts everything into perspective, especially from the dog's point of view, and explains why the recommended training techniques work. It really is a must read for anyone dealing with an anxious or fearful dog.

So disappointed with this purchase. Our new dog is terrified of everything so I was hoping for some insights and help on how to handle it. Unless your dog is afraid of thunderstorms, don’t bother getting this book. It says nothing about how to help a dog with fear issues. It tells you how to socialize a very young puppy to help avoid them but nothing on what to do if you’re past the 12 week old stage. I’m just trying to avoid medications and was hoping this book would offer something. Unfortunate it didn’t.

I had a copy of this book but order another one as a gift for friends who have two young American bulldogs. I like the easy to follow advice and the "whys" of raising dogs in this fear free manner. I was raised in a rural part of the country, where sadly, pets were disposable, and unless they were good hunting dogs, their lives were not easy. I saw dogs live in fear all their lives. Thank God people are changing and many of the old ways of thinking are changing. Fear free respects pets and the people who love them.

A great tool in understanding your fearful dog’s behaviorI read Dr. Becker’s book with great anticipation. The subject matter couldn’t be more on point. As a handler and tester/observer of therapy dogs, this book helped me fill in the blanks of my thinking and understanding of fearful dogs. The book ought to be required reading in vet schools and distributed at all vet conventions. The book teaches the owner the importance of “positive punishment”. When you try to understand a dog’s fear, you can help them overcome it and turn the fear into the exact opposite, confidence. All vet clinics should be as pet considerate as Dr. Becker’s. This is a great book for anyone who loves dogs.
