Rabbi Nilton Bonder was born in Brazil and ordained at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. He leads workshops on spirituality in management for such corporations as IBM, the Brazilian Oil Company, and the Federation of Industries of Sao Paulo. Rabbi Bonder is known in Brazil as the Green Rabbi for his activism in environmental causes. As much as I'm enjoying the read - I'm finding some of the writing structure a bit difficult to cut through. Meaning, the writing style has me re-reading the text for clarity/closure. I'm under the impression that the book was originally written in Portuguese (Rabbi Bonder being from Brazil) and the English translation is "heavy" - for lack of a better description. However, for those who enjoy alternative Kabbalistic reading outside of Zohar commentary, I would say it's an interesting book.

I haven't had to use a lot of these topics for quite a long time. This book provides a very concise set of instructions and examples to get me back up to speed quickly. If you are preparing for the FTCE, this is a great option.

I work with educational professionals - especially teachers...especially new teachers or those changing from one state to another. I also live in Florida. Without a doubt, the new mathematic requirements have been wrecking some havoc so test prep that was once optional has become a necessity. Enter this guide. Test prep used to be dominated by just a couple big names that charged outrageous prices for their materials but this is as good for a less. Solid test questions, good examples, reader friendly and focused. This doesn't spend a lot of time on extraneous type information - it gets to the point and allows you to practice what is needed most.

This FTCE Mathematics 6-12 Study Guide for 2019-2020 is incredible! I love how much study prep they provided in this book. I cannot ask for better than this. Two full practice tests with an answer key are provided. There are examples for everything with answers and explanations. Deep, well-written, and very organized! This one is definitely worth the cost. Overall, I recommend it for all teachers.I received this copy from the publisher. This is my voluntary review.

I like the layout of this book, the chapters cover:Numbers and OperationsAlgebraGeometryStatisticsLogic and ProbabilityCalculusCurriculum, Instruction, and Assessmentand the best part is that in the back, there are TWO Full practice tests.This was printed in 2018, and covers what you need for 2019-2020. Great book!

First, be sure to get the free DVD Essential Test Prep Strategies. This book is broken down into sections such as Numbers and Operations Algebra, Geometry, etc. Each section begins with explanations, and is then followed by sample questions. I have found this to be an excellent format. I did not remember what a Binomial Probability was, but as it was explained I did not have to strain to remember something. It clearly demonstrated how to set up the variable and once that was done, solving it was easy. This is one example of what you will find in the book.Once you read over and work through the practice problems, there are practice tests so that you will be sure you understand - and will be able to teach it to students. This is one of the better books I have that covers what is taught in grades 6-12, and is large one at that at 281 pages. I did not remember how to do some of the problems but found the explanations to be clear and concise, and after reading over them I found I had no difficulty in completely them. Truly one of the best math books I have come across.I received this book at no cost to myself, this is my voluntary review. I actually used this book as a puzzle book, and am well pleased with it for that purpose, and believe it will do well as a test prep for the FTCE.

I am not done going through this book, but I wanted to write this review before anyone purchases it. I do not recommend this because even though it does explain things decently and provides a good review, it has multiple mathematical errors and typos that could really confuse someone if they did not catch them. There is also only one practice test in the book. The other is online. It was advertised as having two practice tests, I would've liked to known that one of them was not physically in the book.

My son is a voracious reader. We got him 7 of the Basher Science books for his 8th birthday in late March. He had finished them all by the end of April and has picked them back up again to reread. (2nd grade, reading at a U-level) He won't touch a fiction book unless forced, but if it is about science or technology he can't put it down. Just enough pictures to keep him from feeling intimidated by the text, perfect silliness level to keep him engaged, and more real science facts than he could absorb the first time through.

Wonderful book for my 6 year old. Perfectly written, illustrated and informative without being too overwhelming for a child. I would say this book would be one that would take my 6 year old into middle school, as the information will grow with him as he grows. He can take the more simple information for what he needs, and then comprehend the entirety of the book as he gets older.

My students love these books AND I love these books! I have students who reach for them when they are done completing classwork, after tests and in study hall. I teach 7th grade science and I am constantly using these as in class references to explain topics to students who may not understand; these books put vocab into kid friendly terms that aren't intimidating. I currently own around 8-10 of the science themed books from Basher, I buy them as they get published and have been building my "library" for about 5-6 years now. These would make an excellent gift for any kid, a teacher or yourself for that matter. They have amazing graphics, are excellently written and are well made/bound.

My daughter absolutely loves all the Basher books. They covered astronomy in her 4th grade class and saw that there was a Basher book on the subject. She asked for the book, I didn't tell her I was going to buy it. It arrived just as summer break was starting. I was opening my Amazon package, placed the book on the dinging table, she passed by and squealed with delight. I don't often see that look on her face.

My son LOVES these books. The 8x8 size is also inviting. Cute characters introduce difficult ideas. My son wants the whole series. I have to admit the layout makes me curious, to see who is included in what. And it explains those new planets, and the sad demotion of our dear Pluto, and the various things that we didn't know about (kupiter belt, anyone?)This is a nice companion to any series, and it's also a quick reference. One of those "coffee table books" for kids, that they only pick up because of the nifty cover, but then spend more time in it because it's got some humor and interesting facts. One of those good examples of science well presented doesn't need a lot of whistles and bells, it's just cool in and of itself.

These Basher Science books are super great for a classroom library. I teach 4th graders, they love the half dozen or so of these books that we have. I do a little preview and the kids are hooked! Gotta love it when they don't realize they are even learning.

I've been using it for night reading to our 8 year old, and in preparation for some star gazing (and I can do some night photography). I have some of the science and nature-related Basher's as well; and we'll expand into those. It's helpful to me in our conversations. Well done.Bart Carrig

While the product is well made, I thought there would be more activities, the book is about the size of a hand which is shown in the pictures but only has the inside of the front cover and inside of the back cover to decorate. With just 4 one sided pages of sticker decorations. Not bad for the price with shipping but wouldn't buy again. Wish there were more to do my daughter got the book and was done with it within 5 minuets.

I purchased a variety of these sticker activity books for my two year old son. As others have pointed out, they are quite small at about 4x6 inches or so. There is one scene and the pages the stickers are on are meant to be taken out in order to decorate the inside of the cover. The stickers themselves are thin but we have not had any issues with ripping. They can be reusable because the paper you attach them to is glossy, but the stickers lose their ability to stick after getting reapplied pretty quickly. I would recommend these as something that’s convenient to throw in a bag and bring with you, but you are probably going to only get one or two uses out of each one.

This is a small little book with a handful of pages. It is not reusable and I wouldn't give it to my child just because. It is perfect for your child if you need something other than your phone/tablet to keep them happy.We were going on a long car ride and I knew I needed stuff to keep my daughter (3yo) happy and entertained. New items are always best in keeping her attention so I got this a few other sticker books. This was by far the smallest but kept her busy for about 45 minutes. Decorating cupcakes with stickers was perfect for her imagination. The book is tiny, about the size of a large phone.

4 stars only cause my kid is in her stickers phase and did enjoy playing with it, but dammmmmmm I could have went to 99centstore and get her a big book with stickers and still had money leftover...::but it is cute and good to pack in a bag to travel with and easy for her to hold and play with , can fit in my pocket or even in my little purse (this is why 4stars)

This book is tiny, think post card size. These are not reusable stickers like the kind you see in the melissa and doug reusable sticker books which are more vinyl type of stickers. The stickers in here are pretty much paper stickers with adhesive backs that are thin and not really reusable, in fact my son ripped most of them trying to take off the page.

Cute concept, but I didn’t realize it was pocket sized and would take approx 30 seconds before my 4 year old was done and bored. If it was 1/2 the cost or a bundled pack or something, that would be another story, but $1.99 is way too expensive. (I know that sounds crazy, but I think it’s worth 40 cents,Maybe).

VERY DECEIVING!!! I learned a lesson on this purchase..... Dont assume anything when looking at a picture and buying...... You see this item and assume it is the size of a normal "coloring, or normal coloring book"....... its size is 4 inches by 5 3/4 ..... It looks like a scam, but when you look in its description, it does tell it like it is.... This wont happen to me again...

For the price, this is a pretty cute sticker book and easy to travel with. They are not as re-usable as you might hope, but that is to be expected with a toddler sticking the stickers everywhere and using up all of their "stick" ability.

From the opening chapters highlighting 2013 and its differences from 2010 to the end this book covers everything you need to know as an analyst or architect.If the opening chapter has some stumping topics this book may not be for you.If, on the other hand, its just a review then you will find this book to be an excellent source of information regarding 2013 concepts and functionality.I highly recommend this book to SharePoint professionals with 2+ years experience over medium to large farms.

I love this book and couldn't put it down once started reading it, but I am a geek and that's the kind of stuff I like. I thought Shannon laid out the material in an easy to understand fashion. Discovered a lot of good SharePoint information that wasn't obvious to me. The book has good information until I discovered pages 241 through 288 are missing. Also, at page 337, the pages start over at 289. Clearly this is a publishing issue. Otherwise I found the content to be informative. I have asked for a replacement. I hope the entire batch is not defective.

A terrific read, and insights to SP2013. Shannon, Miguel and Patrick combined form a powerhouse of experience to assist any architect, or administrator in building a robust, featured and resilient farm.

The content is what the title says. Well organized and well written. I know far too little about how to design and set up SharePoint 2013 farms to have any objections, but I enjoyed reading the book and if I get in the position to design and set up a SharePoint farm from scratch I will reread the book carefully. (Pity that this book has not a companion ebook).

It really is a waste of money since most of it is purely quoted from MSDN!!!!!!! I wouldn't recommend buying.

I'm in the process of upgrading two clients from a 2010 to a 2013 SharePoint farm and have studied plenty of materials out there while earning my MCSE in SharePoint, and teaching the Core Solutions SharePoint 2013 course, but this book takes all that material and ties into useful and practical guidance and directions.It gives you resources for discovering the 2010 farm before the upgrade (which is invaluable to me as a consultant) as well as a chapter about optimizing the SQL server environment for SharePoint and the section about installing SharePoint using least privilege is very cohesive. This section causes my clients and students more problems that anything else in setting up and securing a farm, but this book outlines it very clearly.I'd recommend this book to new and experienced farm administrators that are looking at upgrading to a SharePoint 2013 or building a shiny new SharePoint farm. Enjoy SharePointing!
