About the Author
Frederick J Gravetter is Professor Emeritus of Psychology at The College at Brockport, State University of New York College. While teaching at Brockport, he specialized in statistics, research design, and cognitive psychology. Dr. Gravetter received his Bachelor's degree in mathematics from M.I.T. and his Ph.D. in psychology from Duke University. In addition to publishing several research articles, Dr. Gravetter is co-author of the best-selling STATISTICS FOR THE BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES, 9th Edition, ESSENTIALS OF STATISTICS FOR THE BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES, 8th Edition, and (with Lori-Ann B. Forzano) RESEARCH METHODS FOR THE BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES, 5th Edition.
Larry B. Wallnau is Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the State University of New York College at Brockport. The recipient of grants and awards in both research and teaching, Dr. Wallnau has published numerous research articles primarily on the effect of psychotropic drugs. A really good book on statistics and behavioral sciences, although some answers wrong in the book

This book really helped me learn a lot more about statistics. The only problem I have with this book is that some of the information on it was wrong and had me second guessing myself. I thought I was using the formula wrong because I wasn't coming up with the same answer in the book, I figured out that it was the book that had the wrong answer on the page. Now it wasn't a lot of problems, I can only count 3-4 of them in the whole book from different chapters. Other than that it was a good book I passed the class and I'm happy.

This book I bought for my daughter. She said the book was fine. The book does have a typo in it and it was a little beat up. This is why we gave it four stars. The book is much cheaper though to rent from Amazon then to buy at the school bookstore.

This is the first statistics textbook that I have actually understood and enjoyed, and I have read many of them. The authors take students through the material step by step and do not make assumptions about prior knowledge. The charts and examples are very helpful and clearly presented. As textbooks go, this is the best!
