I've been a developer for some time and always wanted to get into game development. Growing up on 2D top down games, this book seemed like the perfect way to jump into game dev. This book reads really well and has nice concise yet descriptive step by step instructions. The illustrations also bring back some pretty good memories! Very happy with the book and definitely recommend.
Making video games has always been a dream of mine yet I've never known where to begin. Jared's passion for game development and incredible command of the tools comes through in a wonderfully clear, straightforward manner. Great read on Unity engine. Good for someone new to the tool. The author presents information in a clear and natural way that I found easy to learn from.
The book does a great job of showing you how to build a game. With the images and code samples you can build a whole game. It's pretty sweet. Great to help beginners and super helpful tool for experienced unity devs.
I am in the process of learning how to make 2d games, this book has been extremely helpful, it has taught me how to put it all together and work unity. I would highly recommend.
