Advanced work for serious players

I bought this book as an introduction to continuo on the lute. Unfortunately for me I am very much a novice player and most of the book is beyond my grasp. I do find some of the information helpful, and I hope that by continuing to play I will better understand the material in a few months, or years.

This is probably the best resource for learning continuo on the lute family. Be prepared for a lot of hard work, though. Continuo is not learned in a few weeks.

Great Book!

Like student of Continuo I find this book such a great help to start study on this subject. There are so many manuscripts and facsimiles avaible, but This method works like a good collection and synthesis of many ideas.
