Since i was in 3rd grade i developed a fondness of the story of Samson or should i say the history of the guy. I for years off and on since then have enjoyed seeing many different depictions of the life of samson ranging from so many pictured books, so many childrens books, so many pictured bibles, some comic book depictions, so many animated depictions, and several live action depictions. This is the very first time reading a novel illustration of Samson. I gotta say it was excellent. Very bible accurate (the author was really good at skillfully fitting bible accurate events and quotes in many different nooks and crannies in the midst of random moments, festivities, reminiscing, and dialouge)and at the same time highly articulated with emotions and activities surrounding the historical events . It also impressed me that many of Samson's friends, family members were illustrated to have names from other bible stories. if you like reading, if you like Godly inspiration, devotional messages, and/or lf you have a strong fondness or even a positive nod for the story of Samson and his ever so twisted life , i highly reccomend you to check out this bible inspired rollercoaster. Dare to ride? Or should i say have a wild read?
The story makes the events come alive. It helps you make connections to cities, events and people that were happening at the same time as well as events that lead up to Sampson and events after.It was a well written book based on actual events.
Great book and one that my boys loved as well. I love how Tracy makes her characters come alive. Can't wait to see what she writes next!
