Another great story in the Midwest! I really wish I could hang out with this family. Funny, funny, funny! Not sure I could handle the life and death situations, but eh, with Aunt Tillie I'd risk it. As much as I love the magical revenge/saves, it was kinda cool that karma really did deliver in this story. Can't wait to see what happens next! Hopefully a little more Clove. She's so sweet! How I can adore someone I totally would not like in real life is crazy..... I'm more of a Thistle girl in real life. Lol
The world of the Winchester witches is a strange and often snarky place. I like the family dynamic of these stories. The characters interact well and there is usually plenty of action to keep the story moving. This story unearths some secrets buried in Aunt Tillie's past, and par for the course with Aunt Tillie, it takes dynamite and a backhoe to dig them up. I can't wait to read the next story to see what the witches get up to next.
I was looking for a series that I would love and not get sick of after the first couple of books. Then I found wicked witches of the Midwest, I have every book there is and I’m waiting for more. This one series I can read over and over and over again. A must read series. I have fallen in love with the Winchester women and their male counterparts. Aunt Tillie is a hoot and the girls have just the right amount of sarcasm. I can't put the books down.
I love, love, love Amanda M. Lee's "Wicked Witches of the Midwest" series. Doesn't matter which of the books you're reading because they're ALL good!! You get sucked in, and find yourself wishing that you could be part of the Winchester clan. The characters are witty and sarcastic, which I absolutely love. The stories that Ms. Lee spins are fun and imaginative. My favorite character, by far, is Aunt Tillie. So go ahead, pick up the book and find out for yourself why I adore Aunt Tillie!! You won't be disappointed 😊
This series is a lot of fun. You have to enjoy the snark, and I do :) This is actually pretty tame as far as violence and sexual content...a lot more allusions that detail. But, you have to expect some of both to make these murder mysteries work. Amanda Lee has created an excellent cast of characters and I look forward to getting even more detail on some of them in future novels or shorts. Her other series are also well done.
Love it!I am reading the whole series and I cant wait for the next on the line! Amanda Lee is doing a marvelous job with the Winchesters girls!And aunt Tilly!!! I'm telling you if you really wants to laugh out laud and your heart been touched this is the series to follow!
We get a big dose of Aunt Tillie in this one as she takes the fall for a murder she didn't commit. We also learn all about the Great Sr. Ctr Poisoning, which is great fun after all the references in other books. And, as usual, there's a lot of character development as Bay, Thistle, and Clove deal with Clove moving out and Bay wrestles with her feelings for Landon.
I believe I have read all the books in this series now and just loved them. I loved the bantering back and forth and yet how loyal they were to each other. They kept me laughing. I loved the mysteries in each book. I just hope there are more coming in the series. I would recommend these books to everyone. They are fairly clean, extremely funny and pretty clean in the language department, too.
